Malia Reeves

Malia Reeves grew up in the beautiful artist colony of Taos, New Mexico. She graduated from Dartmouth in 2012 with a focus in Painting and Drawing and a double minor in Art History and Spanish. Her paintings, photography, drawings, and prints are about cultures and stories, tears and womanhood, and about a place where dreams and reality meet. Malia currently lives a nomadic lifestyle where she finds inspiration for her artwork in the places she goes and people she meets on her many international and domestic travels. During the winter she works as a Professional Ski Patrol at Taos Ski Valley and her summers are spent guiding outdoor adventure trips for kids. Malia spends most days rock climbing, mountain biking, skiing, trail running, backpacking, hiking, riding horses, watching sunsets, and swimming in hidden mountain lakes. Sharing the stories of the mountains in her work, Malia seeks to retell her unique experiences to the world.
